Set in 1947, Mr. Holmes, now 93 years old, deals with early dementia as an unsolved 30-year old case haunts him. Only able to remember fragments of the case—a confrontation with an angry husband, a secret bond with his beautiful but unstable wife—he must quietly slip out of retirement and pay a secret visit to his past.
